A journey from India to the heart of Japan
President Acharya Prem Prasad began his culinary journey in India, where he mastered the deep traditions of Indian cuisine — the layering of spices, the art of the tandoor, and the philosophy of feeding guests with love and care.
Driven by a passion to share these authentic flavors with the world, he arrived in Japan in 2006, working as a professional chef for three years, learning both the technical discipline of Japanese culinary culture and the profound hospitality of Omotenashi.
"If I run my own restaurant, I can serve better food to my customers."
In 2010, fueled by that vision, he opened his first restaurant in Kurashiki. The response was immediate — guests discovered something they hadn't tasted before: Indian cuisine elevated by Japanese precision and served with a warmth that felt like home.
Today, Dinning Mataa has grown into a successful network spanning 8 branches across the region. Yet the philosophy remains exactly the same: to provide the best, most authentic dining experience to every single guest.
